Inhabit Earth has been made possible with the help of funding through the Art Matters Grant in Roanoke's Year of the Artist program.
Rachel Austin, creative on this project, started asking questions about her hometown which led to the immersive online gallery to share answers with her community.
Throughout history, art has been a primary mover to encourage action and change - things Rachel hopes will happen as a result of people visiting this gallery. Knowledge and creativity are power, and all have can have access to it.
As you reflect on the pieces currently featured in the gallery, please consider sharing your artistic interpretation of the information you learn while visiting. Pieces can be shared on Inhabit Earth's IG account to inspire others to react. Together, we can make a positive change in our City for all.
Future endeavors include researching other topics and sharing other artists' interpretations - periodically visit for new exhibits.
